Ms Vasylenko sat down on Sky News to discuss the Russian invasion into her country Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has been waging a bloody war on neighbouring Ukraine for over three weeks now. The Ukrainian MP claimed that other countries should get actively involved, stating that World War 3 had already started. Ms Vasylenko also said that other countries actively not having their boots on the ground defending Ukraine was costing more Ukrainian lives.
Ms Vasylenko said: “Look we are in a third world war like please have no illusion about that.
“When Hitler attacked Poland back in 1939, people in France and in the UK were also sitting back and saying oh that’s about them, that’s not about us.
“That is so far away that’s just a war between Germany and Poland, no it wasn’t, was it?”
“It was the beginning of world war two, essentially here, it’s exactly the same thing.

Ms Vasylenko said: “So it’s just amount of time till the others start coming in.
“And actually start making the military effort on the ground.
“But that time is measured not in minutes but in human lives, in Ukrainian lives at the moment, but that will escalate,
“I mean you hear… I heard that you banned Russia Today, but surely before that, and by analysing some Russian media sources you can clearly see that Putin is not going to stop at Ukraine.”

Mr Saakashvili said; “NATO will eventually get involved.
Mr Saakashvili explained: “The West didn’t want to believe that Putin is capable of unleashing war even after he did it.
“They tried to play the game, sharing the game between the aggressor and the victim.”
