If you could have any historical figure as part of the ultimate dinner party, who would you bring back to life? As part of their Day of the Dead celebrations, Mexican restaurant Wahaca polled Brits to find out the most popular choice of guests. Well right at the top was Robin Williams with 26 per cent of the vote, followed closed by Princess Diana on 25 per cent.

In third place was Albert Einstein, while Queen singer Freddie Mercury just managed to beat Elvis Presley in fourth and fifth respectively.

Upon The King’s death in 1977, Freddie set about writing a tribute song which he wrote in the bath in about 10 minutes.

The result was one of Queen’s best-known songs in Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Here are the full Top 30 dinner guests as voted for by the great British public.
