Amanda Owen’s personal life
Aged 21, and a trainee shepherdess, Amanda met Clive.
“This six-foot something woman knocked on my door,” Clive said of his first meeting. “I was very taken with her, you couldn’t not be.”
Amanda added: “It was a slow burn thing, we kind of got to know each other, we kind of made friends first and then we went out a little bit together.
“With us both coming from non-farming backgrounds I think we’re kind of like peas in a pod really, although we didn’t know that at the time.”
Amanda and Clive went onto have nine children; Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, 10, Sidney, nine, Anna, seven, Clemmy, five, Nancy, four.
