Queen Letizia: Royal’s style during state visit to Sweden

Queen Letizia was joined by her husband, King Felipe, as she met with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The Spanish royal was also seen greeting Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Sofia. Victoria is the king and queen’s eldest child, while Princess Sofia married into the royal family when she wed Prince Carl Philip, the king and queen’s son, in 2015.

The modern dress’ skirt billowed outwards and was floor-length.

As for accessories, Letizia opted for silver earrings and two silver bangles, encrusted with diamonds.

She also donned an impressive tiara, also silver and featuring diamonds.

Her beauty look was bold as she wore pink eyeshadow, smudged to create a smoky-eye effect, and thick lashings of mascara.

On Thursday evening, Letizia and Felipe were welcomed to a reception hosted by the King and Queen of Sweden.

This time, Letizia wore a teal wrap dress with long sleeves from Spanish brand Cherubina.

Her hair was in a classic updo, and she accessorised with black court heels and dangling earrings.

Royal fans were quick to express their opinions on Letizia’s looks over the two days on social media.

Some liked Letizia’s outfits, while others were more critical of them.

Twitter user Anna wrote: “I love her style, Letizia is a beautiful and elegant woman and her outfits usually suit her perfectly, but her choices for State Banquets generally don’t appeal to me.”

Klaudia said: “I think Queen Letizia’s tiara is a little too big for her, but she still looks very elegant.”

Benny Lonergan commented: “Stunning gowns and so great to see a state visit in all its glory again.”

Isabel added: “The red dress is spectacular. Love it!”
