Senior Hamas Commander in Charge of Northern Gaza Killed in the War, Militant Group Says

Ghadour was the highest-ranking member of the groups armed wing and was known to have been killed in the war that started after Hamas’ attack attack into Israel on October 7

Hamas announced on Sunday that one of its top commanders has been killed amidst the ongoing war with Israel.

The militant group said that Ahmed al-Ghandour was killed but did not reveal when or where he was killed. Ghadour was the highest-ranking member of the groups armed wing and was known to have been killed in the war that started after Hamas’ attack attack into Israel on October 7.

Al-Ghandour was also a top commander in northern Gaza. As per the Counter Extremism Project, an advocacy group based out of Washington, he had survived at least three Israeli attempts to kill him,that goes back to 2002.
